Comics as Art

I’ve been one to believe in the above idea for awhile, even going so far as to assert that the History of Art is the History of Comics, and lately it seems I’m not alone. Far cry from those days when I was told that comics weren’t. Seems there is a growing number of artists who not only look to comics in the production of their work, but base their work around the conventions of comics.
